DARWIN'S TRIVIA QUESTION!
WHAT DO YOU CALL AN UNRIPENED APPLE?
FIND THE ANSWER BELOW.
| |
Just like a baby has an umbilical cord attached
to
it’s navel, so to an apple has an umbilical cord (stem) attached to its
navel. The purpose of this umbilical cord or stem is to allow the apple
or baby to take in the nutrients that are needed to develop and grow.
From
the moment that an apple develops on an apple tree it is seen and
recognized
as an apple. It has life, other wise it would not be able to take in
the
nutrients that it needs to grow and use them to develop to maturity.
One
of the difference's between an apple and a baby is that when an apple
is
picked from the apple tree it no longer has the ability to take in the
nutrients that it needs to sustain life. A baby on the other hand has
the
ability to continue to take in these nutrients and will continue to
develop
and grow even outside the womb. Another difference is that as an apple
develops and grows it can be seen hanging from the apple tree. Without
modern technology we cannot see the baby developing and growing in the
womb. The fact is however, that from the time that an apple starts to
develop
on the apple tree until the time that it is picked and eaten it is
always
recognized as an apple. So if you wouldn't call an unripened apple
anything
other than an apple why would you call an unborn baby anything other
than
a baby?
